Got a call from the dealer today and they have got a cancelled slot from another dealer for delivery in march which was the orginal date when I first put the order in. the salesman read the spec out to me that was on the order form to VW. So fingers crossed things are back on track

Hi Jay

I'm paying about 28k and am quite sore that you've managed to get such a good discount!

I tried the three dealers nearest to me and they wouldn't return my calls  which I find incredible, the car's being sourced from a dealership in the north east.

How about you?

Cheers

My local dealer sourced my car. I went in for a test drive and brouchure and came out with the order. Apart from the major c**k up with the gearbox they have been very good in keeping me informed and the discount etc

Hi Jay, good to hear there's a way forward.

Mistakes do happen, and that's frustrating, but it sounds like they know they're in the customer service business (which isn't always a given).

I think that VW should consider an email based customer order verification system.

The way it would work is that you give your dealer an email address, and when the VW factory gets the order from the dealer, they send an email to you direct, so you can catch any mistakes introduced by the middleman.

(VW: Please send a large cheque to me for this wonderful idea )

Hi Andy

I reckon thats a great idea , it would have saved me a lot of hassle and would be so easy for them to do.
