were these a direct replacement Hurdy? if so do you have the part numbers u used and prices pal
Right then
Components up front the best set up is a 3 way of which I had the HSK163 (£300), but for my car it involved extra wiring in of the third speaker (tweeter). The extra wiring wouldn't be needed if you have the 10 speaker system which already has tweeters up front. Alternatively, if you have the 8 speaker standard system you could go for the 2 way component system up front which is the HSK165. The loss of the tweeters up front with the 2 way aren't too crucial as you would still have the high frequencies of a tweeter in the rear with the coax speakers.
In the rear the speakers I had fitted were 2 way coax's - HCX165's with a 200 Watt peak output

One speaker housing contains both a woofer and the tweeter. - £120
This gets around one of the problems that the standard rear tweeters have, in that they are located just behind the drivers's ears and give an annoying tsss tsss noise at higher volumes. The coax speakers are based where the lower rear standard woofers normally are and drop the high pitch of the tweeters away from your ears to give a better balance to the high frequency output.
You can look at the speakers through the earlier link I posted under the Hi-energy range, by looking in the system and the coax sections.
The 10" sub in the boot is a 900 watt HX 250D - £165
