 i have a beetle and we always wave at each other  :tongue:. i have had a wave from a guy in a camper when i was is the mk2 so waved back  :laugh:.

There are Lots of people in Mk2 golfs is my area but i only flash if they look like they are fans! or if they are going the same way they are always up for a little "Race" Not if they are people that dont giva what they drive! What a waste of a golf!

A lot of passengers I have are amused/confused by all the waving and flashing - it helps when your car is low and wide, it's easily spotted - but I always wave if I see them first or if it's a farmer in his jetta with no clue what's going on :laugh:

I always wave too, to Mk2s, Mk1s and any funky campers I see, but as before, only if they look like they're into their cars.

Spotted a mint red mk2 northbound on the m5 the other day, so pulled in behind him and convoyed it for a bit.  Dude gave me a big thumbs up when I got bored and went past him.

Everyone should be doing the same, it's nice if you've had a crap day at work, are driving home and someone gives you a thumbs up :)

^^But then again, I suppose that's going against the general attitude of this country at the moment - eveyone's an enemy until proven otherwise....... shame.
