Why?

Why don't we wave to each other?  I have owned a Mini 1275GT and a 1600E and when ever I saw another car the same I always waved and got a response. There are a few mk2 owners around where I lived but not once has any of them returned my hail.  Shame eh!

must be your location mate. the dubbers in cheshire always wave. even to some one in a b5 passat with nothing but black badges and a genuine boot spoiler to destiguish it as a dubbers car. just keep waving till they get the hint  :grin: :evil: :grin:

A guy from another forum in a mk4 nodded at me once and i nodded back but around here its mostly old people (aka 70 ye olds) driving older golfs and estate agents driving mk3 gti's

oh big post! i have this exact same problem i drive a white 1.3 golf with a blue bonnet and a gti grill! i never ever get a wave or a hoot! if anyone on here sees me in the nottingham area give me wave a peep a flash anything to keep the spirit alive! :grin:

People in dubs around Oxford are generally nob jockeys and either ignore or one guy in particular will look at you like you're a piece of sh!t. However, around Milton keynes and Northampton it's hard to concentrate with the amount of people waving and flashing their lights! Alright, maybe a slight exaggeration......

I always NOD! or Wave, Only if someone else does it first though. I had someone chase me the other day for about 5 miles in a sprinter! (DODGY AREA)
