I think you may be right there... The info sticker next to the cap states that it has to be over 95 i think. so normal should be fine.. but i opt for the good stuff anyway!

V Power is the best IMO but not tried many other brands yet only had the car 5 days!  :laugh:

My 56plate GTi says to use 95RON on the fuel cap.

From what I have read Tesco fuel is supplied by Greenergy of which Tesco own 25%, the fuel is 5% bio-ethanol and it is believed Sainsbury's fuel is supplied by BP.

I got my GTi last month and have been runningit on 95 RON for the last few refills, intend to experiment with some different fuels an see if I notice a difference.

i've used all of the top brands and all of the not so good brands of petrol and i can say it has made no difference to my GTI at all.
I've never managed more than 320miles out of a full tank regardless of how i drive.

I just use ron95 now. Rather save the money.

In an R32 not strange if you are doing urban driving. I get around 250 miles to a full tank. Overall average is 23mpg

98RON Super from the Emarat of Epco.  At a whopping 90p a gallon, with a free window wash as well - woohoo!

Yes but on the downside, you've only got a flat SimCity in the desert to drive around  :wink:

Mines only ever had V-Power since I got it last March, not a drop of anything else! So I'm probably wasting money on the expensive stuff when the normal unleaded would be fine!  :undecided:

I was using Super for a while, now on normal and have never noticed any difference at all.

a standard gti on bp ultimate will be running 212bhp.
