noise

hi im new on here but ive got a 150bhp mk4 golf turbo an i have a problem on idle it sounds as if the thrust bearing on the clutch is noisey but wen i put it into reverse it crunchs just wondering if any one has had this an wether it is the clutch on its way out or gearbox cheers Loz

Check gearbox oil levels is what I say. Mine crunches into reverse sometimes too but thats because I didnt bleed the clutch when I put it in (or so I been told)

Mine has crunched now and again when going into reverse, normaly when im in a rush and thrown it into reverse while I have literraly turned the key.

Does it go quite if you depress the clutch when in neutral?
