All the 4 wheel drive TT's and S3/R32 use the haldex system as far as I'm aware, its not untill you get to the A4/A6 etc that they use the torsion system(permanent 4WD)

So the S3 really is the 4wd golf we have all been dreaming about!!! Shame its so expensive... and only 3dr :undecided:

I wonder if I could rip the 3.2 out of mine and import in a 2.0 with a big fat turbo just like the S3!!! Bet that would go like hell!!

(think i may have stumbled upon something there )

Could the people on here running the Superchips remap please let me know how they find it and does the map use the V-power fuel?

You should be OK with Superchips.  They are the official Volkswagen Racing UK Tuning Partner. The role involves reprogramming the engine control units (ECUs) on all of VW Racing UK’s competing cars, to boost engine power and torque within the strictly defined limits of the Volkswagen Racing Cup.

Road Test by VW Driver mag here if you've not seen it :-

I think you'll find it was a GIAC car that won the championship!

It is very nice!! (just not practical) but would you really consider getting one when you know there is going to be an RS version being released shortly?? Why would they tell people that??

RS will be V6, I guess.

Forget RS and buy this instead:

After mulling it over for the last 2 weeks and lots of phone calls later I have ordered superchips BlueFin Today! To me they offer the best package /service and they are going to be offering as a free of charge update in the near future of a further remap pushing the car to 320+ BHP for cars running minimum of 99 ron fuel! They have there red edition 30 running the new program and it is a totally standard car i.e. no sports exhaust or filter! I also got 15% of the price for being a mkiv Golf forum member! Cheers

Well done!

All you need to do now is get it installed and go to a rolling road day to validate the increases.
