Edition 30 Superchips
« on: 10 January 2008, 19:15 »
Hi All!
I have spent hours and hours this week phoning all the different tuning companies! Superchips, APR and GIAC are the 3 remaps I am looking at! Superchips works out the cheapest. I found out today after speaking to them that they have updated there software to now reset the Flash counter everytime you use the Bluefin to change maps!
Could the people on here running the Superchips remap please let me know how they find it and does the map use the V-power fuel?

Cheers John

I have had the superchips bluefin installed on my ED30 for 6k (ish) now, thats around seven months I think! I have always run mine on v-power and she runs like a dream, very smooth with a huge amount of power (for a golf anyway!). Comes highly recommended from me!

no, would be interested to though, never taken a car on a rolling road before so I'm not really sure where I could take it, don't really want to travel far, but I live just outside Birmingham so I'm sure theres one within a half hour drive...must get it sorted at some point!!

It isn't the price I am bothered about I just want to make sure that I am getting the best future proof map for the car! I have an APR guy 25 miles away, Giac at Star performance 20 miles away and Superchips Scotland 18 miles away!
I will probably get the APR trial program next week and see what I think!

You should be OK with Superchips.  They are the official Volkswagen Racing UK Tuning Partner. The role involves reprogramming the engine control units (ECUs) on all of VW Racing UK’s competing cars, to boost engine power and torque within the strictly defined limits of the Volkswagen Racing Cup.

Hmmm i just read the article which made for a good read. Only thing I wasnt too sure about was the S3 having the Haldex 4wd system... Hurdy didnt you say the Audi's all used Torsten??? Or maybe I am confusing it with the TT?? :undecided:
