Same here after a few mk2's i got a bit fed up with changing parts in/out garages so bought the Fab Vrs for performance, reliablity being a new car etc etc. After about 9 months the pain was too much, i am back home now in the Gti & she drives the Vrs.

Vrs is cracking mota but as you lot will agree a good mk2 is just a pleasure

glad to hear but can you explain how the golf feels better than a scooby or have i misinterpreted something? i mean it handles on rails and goes like stink just interested thats all. Is it the rawness of the drive?

Hard to explain really, I guess I'm just old school! Or a Golf geek!  :nerd: Whilst the scooby sounds and drives very nice it just doesnt excite me in the same way my GTI does. I love the heritage of the Golf, I love the retro interior, the driving position, the styling, the engine note. I look forward to giving it a wash!

The scooby is fun and confidence inspiring but inside it has no soul and lets be honest they've never been known for their sharp styling!!!
