mk4 speakers

hi,

just wondering if anyone could tell me what size speakers go in the front doors of a mk4 golf? gt-tdi if it makes any difference?

also do you need to get certain speakers that will fit or do most aftermarket ones fit in nicely?

the standard speakers as 16.5 cm but you can fit 17cm if you get something like

i've only fitted those type on my old car and they are really straight forward, remove the door card, screw the adaptor in and screw the speaker into the adaptor.

the speakers will come with grills, but you wont need them as the grill on the door card will cover the speaker, you would only use the grill if you were going to build a custom pod or put them on the parcel shelf
