Electric window switches

  alas no johnny,  the pin orientation is different again to my 2 switches 

but ta all the same, will have a tinker at the weekend, been out under  and in the back of it all night

noope, more blown fuses.

can someone with lecky windows please tell me what wires gowes to which pin number on the back of there switches

there are 6 pins numbered

2 earths
1 ignition live
1 illumination
1 up selction
1 down

right so you're trying to wire in an oem VW switch then?

1 - white or yel - motor
2 - wht/blk or blk/yel - motor
3 - blk/red - live from relay
4 - brn - earth
5 - blk/red - live from relay
6 - blk/red - live from relay (for switch light, from the factory the window switch lights come on with the ignition not when the lights are on)

Your 2 earth idea is wrong, probably why you keep blowing fuses

erm, i got 2 browns, they are linked 

but yes, now you know why i am blowing fuses 

will try again later, and thanks again

and off the top of my head i got a red, black, ( they are the up and down selction wires )  a grey ( illumination )  the 2 brown earths that are linked  and a ignition live ( colour - ant remember )

but if those are the pin numbers, i shall go from there.

ah i think aftermarket ones have 2 earths where vw do not...

fudge it, windy handles will be going back in at this rate

just splice both earths to 1 pin as above, you'll be cookin on gas

well i had to jump the feed wire to another pin  but it now goes up and down
