Electric window switches

u it looks like the leckie windows fitted to my car is an after market  set up as the switches are different.

They look the same on the front, but the connections are smaller and the mechanism is different inside too. 

anyone know any more info, or more importantly have a set for sale.

would it not be possible to take the wiring that is in them, and fit it/doctor it.butcher it to std VW plugs?? theyre used across the board, i got some from an ibiza to fit my sunroof motor switch.. then just use std mk2 switches

yeah if i want to re plug 12 wires 

 the switches i got fitted are the same from the front, same rocker switch, same picture the lot

just the pin orientation and size is different on the back

not right now,

but the genuine one on the back has 3 pins running diagonally across the switch, and all the pins run top to bottom

on the ones i have fitted they are not all top to bottom

if that makes sense

is it the GSF aftermarket kit.

mine had this when i bought it

do the contacts at the back of the switch all go in a row rather than staggered?

it is easy to rewire and fit genuine switches

If they are the GSF aftermarket ones then you can buy the switches separately, I believe.

btw - are the GSF aftermarket electric windows any good? Or from the purist point of view should you only ever fit VAG ones?

As purists VAG only. But it depends on how much of a purist you are and how who's cheaper at the end of the day.

right can anyone tell me what wires go where on a standard switch,  as the haynes is pants.

the switch pins are numbered on the back.
obviously you have Earths, live, illumination and then live to power up and down.

any help most welcomed, as its costing me a fortune in fuses 

and aint got a clue on what kit it is.

the picture on the front of the switch is the same as the genuine VW switch
