Boost Gauge in Golf 1.8T

Hi, im new to the forum but i bought my Mk4 Golf GTI a couple of months ago, i have not done too much to her just replaced the old bosh dump valve with the fordge recirculating one, but i have just fitted a boost gauge i was wondering what PSI it should boost too with as i said no mods to the engine? Anyone with any ideas? Thanks

i think befor my remap mine was running about 6-7 psi.

Out of interest what do you run now with your remap??

about 14psi but wen i boot it it goes up to about 17 then the boost starts to drop off and settle at 14 does anyone elses do this.

thanks mine goes to just bout 8 with the forge valve! so seems to be correct, what re map did you have done was it revo & what stage is it?

i had a revo remap on an AGU engine code. yes its the stage 1, he told me at revo that you can not get stage 2 remap on the AGU engine.

thanks, yeah i had been told that i can only take mine to stage 1 when i went to big boys toys in thurrock in essex, they specialise in VAG cars, i plan to have the revo done after christmas, i take it you went from 150bhp? what did it take yours too? and have you added any other mods?? cheers.

ya mine was 150bhp, the man at REVO said it would just take mine just over 200bhp with my mods iv got. iv got a de-cat pipe, resonated cat back milltek system, forge 007p DV, and pipercross cone filter. but i belive that you will get more bhp with a panel filter instead of the cone but i just like the sound it makes

yeah i was told mine would got to just over 200bhp with the revo, so thats is getting bookin after xmas! new wheels and the miltek anniversery exhaust! should run and sound perfect! Ow yeah the pipercross pannel filter is the best for ours! but i bet the noise from the cone is excellent??!! You had any problems with yours, what reg you on??
