Any ideas
« on: 20 November 2007, 00:31 »
so im a musician who needs to use his boot and fill it a lot, but i'd like a nice sub in the boot and amp, is it possible to make a unit which contains the amp and sub and fits on the wheel arch of one side of the boot that i can take in and out easily this way when its in it doesnt take up to much room and can come out easily!!!, i have a mk3 driver any ideas or suggestions would be great, also sizes etc, im approaching this with a completly open mind.

u can either fabricate ur own box to fit in the side gap or there are ICE firms that manufacture custom stealth boxes for issues such as urs...i'm also considering as i keep my drum instrument in me boot most days too...along wiv me work tool box...cuttin it a bit fine for space so i may have to sacrifice sum mor space but you can get stelath boxes made...mite b a tad bit expensive as its mor custom and also get a shallow subwoofer to cater for the small space otherwise ur average sub magnet wont allow it to sit in the box sufficiently!
look up stealth boxes i gues..or see if any of the other guys here have done any or have bought anything as i havent yet...so cant realy giv u an estimate of a price either..sory.but look in2 it n see how u get on....all else fails...i was thinkin jus a small digital 10" sub..perhaps active to save space from an amp!
Why pay big bucks when you can do it yourself???

would it be possible to fit the amp in the box with sub as well though? and then easy dissconnect wiring to make it as simple as possible!
