if you can avoid using any...they create resistance so if possible solder all connections..
if not possible, Gold connectors all the way!!

Crimp connectors are absolutely fine - the most important thing is to use good quality crimpers - the double width ratchet type are best IMHO.  If you keep it to 1 connector or each end of the wire (ie no joins), then you won't have any resistance problems.

Soldering directly to speaker terminals is Ok, but be careful if they have plastic baskets.
