Is this not a symptom of coil pack that is going? If so i would be scared. Golfs tend to burst into flames when a coil pack goes....  :undecided:

Um. Is there perhaps a slight loss of power when you pull away? Does the car feel sort of sluggish?
If so then please get it to a dealer. ASAP

Thanks

(I should have put this message in my first post)

Quick question, my engine is showing as 90 which seems pretty hot to me

When I turn the car off, some steam comes through the grill just under the bonnet

Something is wrong but what I don't know!? Any ideas?

I'm taking it to VW anyway Friday so I'll get them to do both at the same time..............

I get the same from mine.. so i wouldnt worry about it!! usually just a bit of water dribbling through the front grill.... Damn that engine gets hot!!
