Quick question, my engine is showing as 90 which seems pretty hot to me

When I turn the car off, some steam comes through the grill just under the bonnet

Something is wrong but what I don't know!? Any ideas?

I'm taking it to VW anyway Friday so I'll get them to do both at the same time..............

my GTI has always run at 90 deg (middle point) ...never any steam though!

Yeah, mine runs at 90 degrees too. once it's there it never shifts. Don't get any steam coming out though

Mine runs at 90. Only time I get steam is when it rains or from the jet wash.

Its meant to run at 90, are you sure its steam and not smoke?

You might have some sort of leak somewhere inside which is causing the steam.

mine never goes over 90

Mine is always at 90 - does smoke a wee bit once I have used the jetwasher
