That?s some serious valve lift. I would have thought that you would get some fuel problems when you have an extra 300cc of displacement and that much valve lift. You?ve done a lot of weight reduction to loose 200kg, I wish I could get mine that light but I want to keep it original as possible from the outside. I would say that you will break the 200BHP mark with a set of 45's on as there; I think I remember reading 45?s are good to about a 2.3 L capacity before you start pushing them. I don't really know about the tick over issues but I'm sure I will have to do some messing around to get mine to run well off boost.

yeah the weight has made an amazing difference to the car....

ive striped out the interior...
removed the bumpers...
removed the fuel tank and had an ally one made up...
also removed the rear wiper motor and linkage..
all rear windows are perspex
cut out any unwanted metal from the inside of the car
scuttle pannel removed
removed the arch liners
currently looking for more stuff to bin!!!

Sounds like you?re on a right mission there. Are you planning on using this as a track day car? I think I should consider removing some unwanted weight but I doubt I would get less that 50kg off as I want the interior to be the same. I may have to remove my drain tray if I want my intake manifold to have any length to it so that?s got to be maybe 1kg

190hp at the wheels  , thats very impressive. Your correct the fuel system will be struggling to supply enough fuel for that amount of hp.

lewis, you know that you need to use carbs that are ment for forced induction (pressurised), not the usual ones.

No that?s too dangerous I?ve decided to angle grind the roof off instead that should save me some weight.

 Steve the carbs are for a normally aspirated engine but I am hoping to modify them to suit my setup. This wasn't the way I intended to fuel my car so I haven?t looked into it with much detail yet but as long as I can get the system pressurised and enough fuel I can?t see a problem. Although??
