i still have my gorgeous Alpine tda 7638 (tape deck) and ultra small s604 changer from 94, cost me 1000 for those 2 items

they are both still mint and not getting sold ever

used to also love those old pioneers with the flip front and full size screen, before all the other manufactures started doing this, they were not motorised but were cool a hell, my mates all had them, they had a clear red on/off button on some of the better ones which we called the Cherry button   dont see many of these nowdays.

i do have one of the modern ones these days tho as they do soooo much stuff which saves on other bits of wiring and components..

aside from Alpine, those old pioneers rock too

let me know how you get on and if you find anything

I'm sure the Alpine cdm-7837r headunit that i have from my Mum's old car must be over 10 years old.

On the beige Nova or the Pioneer?

The stereo was amazing, first one I had ever seen with a motorised front panel. It looked a lot like that more recent 'classic' looking Pioneer with the brushed alu front.

How about a Becker?  They look at home in any German dash, are understated and are amongst the best you can get for Sound quality.
