I've emailed "the engine shop" today to see what the price includes and exactly what they do.
Hopefully i can start saving for one soon

Those prices are swap out of a same existing unit. So the 20v cost is a trade on you providing a dead 20v. They are no way the price of putting a 20v in a mk2!!!

I got the 1.9 8v and it's the only thing left working on my Golf after I crashed it and bent the chass. It pulls well and I have had it off the clock (private road) and it still pulled so thats well over 120 MPH. I wish I had gone for the 2.0 16V it's meant to go like a train.

The guy who builds them is a top bloke as well that helps.  If your going to drive your car over there make sure you have someone taking you home it's in the middle of marshes if I remember correctly.

Mines about to come out and sit in the garage until I can afford to put it back in another golf and create a track car, tempted to bolt a set of webbers 45s on it as well............thats if my wedding dosen't go ahead next year......hmmmmm

I crashed mine, but another will be coming soon....

they wont build u 2.ol 8v, the best they can do is the 1.9v 8v at 1300 quid...
ive mailed them again to see if they will sell bottom end refurbed on there own, havent had a reply yet....
