Throttle lift off = jerking

I'm having trouble with the car being to sensitive when I lift my foot off the throttle.
If i don't do it extremely carefully the car jerks.
Is there a way to adjust this on a RP mono-jetronic engine?

is that a digifant 8v? mine does it to, it seems very sensitive to intial throttle movement think having 17 year old engine mounts dont help?.. get a G60 anyhows so its irrelivant

No, it's not a digifant, but a mono-jetronic.

I have this problem too.
I've just put it down the engine mounts, another job to sort.

i had this problem and it just needed a good tune up - all ok now!!

Probably a loose throttle cable, very easy fix, just take a look at it.

How tight should the throttle cable be?

By the way, this is what I've done so far:

-Checked timing
-Changed the sparkplugs, wires and distributor cap.
-Changed both the intake and exaust gasket (the was a small leak in the intake gasket).
-Changed the entire mono-jetronic injector unit.
-Checked for vacum leak, but couldn't find any.
-Checked all the ground cables, all seem fine.
-Changed the lambda sensor.
-Changed the blue temp sensor.
-Changed the battery.

I know that the catalytic converter has been gutted, but this shouldn't cause any problems, aside from giving the exaust less restriction.

Is changing the engine mounts a difficult job?

The engine seems fine aside from the throttle-lift off jerking. It really accelerates both quickly and smooth, but it's a pain to drive in the city with all the start,stop and slow driving .
It recently passed the EU test (m.o.t) so I'm planning on keeping it for at least two more years.
All other tips on things to check out is appreciated  .

Mine used to jerk about but its a Digifant. It was especially bad if you were say trickling along in traffic in 1st or 2nd gear. It used to buck like a kangaroo every time you applied or removed throttle.

A tune up improved it and a new front engine mount improved it further. Front engine mount was quite easy. Just had to support the engine and unbolt the mount and slide it out. Did have to remove the oil filter though to get better access. I'm sure somebody else will correct me if there is an easier way to do it. 

It still jerks a bit now but I just put it down to it being an old car. I no longer have to use the clutch to smooth it out like I used to though.
