rust comming through from under windscreen seal, whats the best way to sort it

bite the bullet mate do it now and do it propperly and you will never have to worry again

theres some stuff you can get that turns rust back into metal, once you have cleaned the worst of it off paint that on and it should never return as long as its painted properly ill see if i can find a link to it 

do you know what this product is called?

hammerite Krust... chemically reacts with the rust and makes it suitable for painting again, but again, it its rotted all the way through and its not just surface rust, then best plan is welding in new bits...

The best thing all round on a car that nice is to get the screen out, cut out all the rust and if possible a extra 5 or 10 mm of the good metal to be sure you got it all and then have new metal welded in, not cheep but the best way IMO

and once you have welded a new patch in treat it with the rust remedy stuff just to be sure
