I didnt really want the leather in my gti but i absolutely hated the cloth pattern, so i thought for the extra money i may aswell have the recaro's. they are absolutely fantastic.
From experience there are two types of people who dont like the recaro's.
People who couldnt afford them and fat people who dont fit in them.

There was a 57 plate with leather Recaros at my local dealer. They look nice, but a very expensive option.
I didn't know how long the leather would last on the bolsters. I had the seat cover on my ED30 changed the other week due to wear of the leather.

The back on the Recaros are prone to scratching i have been told, dont you also loose the fold memory function on the 3 door as well?

I thought that too when I first sat in them they should be really supportive! A different kettle of fish all together from the C2 vts which i changed from. But to be honest I never found myself flying round the cabin as I do with the VW. I know im probably hitting slightly higher speeds round corners and round abouts but i have had some serious issues managing to keep hold of the steering wheel (which I do lurrrrv the feel of by the way!!)

I just dont like the look of the recaros as they dont seem to match up with the rear seats at all and look a little out of place even though i am sure they are the dogs at what they are supposed to do.
