5th injector tomfoolery
« on: 28 February 2004, 16:15 »
I disconected my 5th injector after reading what was said on here and now I'm getting a good 8mpg more than I was getting previously  ???

Since my exhaust started to blow I'd stuggle to get it over 30mpg and now it's up in the 37's all the time. weirdness.

I think my injectors are leaking making my starts bad.

that's what I was thinking. I'm guessing the cold start valve isn't work properly and the 5th injector was on all the time using more fuel.

it still starts fine, if not better now.

if its leaking try some fuel system treatment that should sort the injectors out...

kjet. don't remove it!
just unplug it!
I've now for the ISV disconnected aswell. it was reving up and down a lot on tickover and pissing everyone off. now ticks over at 700rpm. stalls now and then if you're not carefull though.
