Follow TT's guide to running it in. You will find it if you do a search. Enjoy the new car

Surely running in is pointless as engines are bench run before they go in. I know you would have run in an engine on older cars but giving it some from the word go wont do anything other than take the high miles off (in other words the 3rd, 4th or 5th owner would have the downsides?)
I will do a quick search though.
Cheers!

She raged the sh!t out of it mate! Sport mode, redline change gear, redline. Seeing as there is no evidence of new engines needing to be run in as they have not hit high miles yet i think it will be fine. The damage wont be visable (if it does do anything) for a long time. There is also a threory that it is best to use engine as they were supposed to be used from the off as it opens them up properly!

what does the owners manual say, read it, thats what its for, whats the reg plate, cus if you sell it, im not interested because you will be doing the life of the engine no favours in blowing it to bits out of the box.  Just because it may or maynot go bang and drop its oil on the deck, doesnt mean its ok and will last, cus it wont. You need to tell your mum not to do, trust me, when some of our expects read this thread, brace yourself for some harsh words!!.  YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! . do ruin a cracking car, just for the sake of 1000 miles careful driving.
