beware brain dead mokey works at huddersfield vw
« on: 02 September 2007, 14:45 »
took my edition 30 in for the oil filler cap replacing, and asked them to fix a rattle in the door. they fitted a new cap and fixed the rattle in the door, and also fixed a rattle near the radio for me they said. after realising that they had been for a 7 mile drive in my car to hear this rattle i then noticed the workmanship. all hell was let loose

would you let this sh!t go?

No way, what a load of cr*p. I'd be asking to see the brand manager to see when he would be lending you his ED30 while they replace your trim.

I had two sets of alloys on different cars damaged there. They did repair them, but thats not the point when I take care of my car. Lets just say I now go else where.

That is truely shocking BMX.

It is definitely going to cost them a pretty penny to replace. Also ensure that the numpty who carried out the work comes and apologises personally - then kick him straight in the nuts

My car has been in for the USB connection a few times (5 times so far), this is still ongoing with VW UK  . It has also had a new seat cover fitted. The leather had worn a little. I must admit that the dealer did it very promptly with no agrument. (Which they should.)

I have a colleague who has a passat. He took it to a Rotherham VW dealer complaining that the leather was wearing on the bolster. He had had the car from new for just over 6 months, they wouldn't change it at all, said it was wear and tear and that you can't claim, on warrenty, for the leather after six months   Lets just say that he won't be buying a VW next time.

I have had radios knicked that have caused less damage to the interior than that.

Some people are just so clueless aren't they?  I mean, as if you aren't going to notice a big fecking gouge out of your radio/dash.  What a tw@t.

Hope you get it fixed mate.

know how you feel; my car went in for a new regulator and came back with a damaged interior handle which my girlfriend nearly cut herself on!! and you couldn't open the door from the inside!! Majorly cheesed off!

Hope you get it sorted :afro: i found that showing them the pics and threatning to have a standup arguement in front of a busy dealership meant my problem was sorted swiftly

Shocking that fella.  The individual responsible should be brought to task by the dealership.

That is shocking, and a "testicles nailed to a tree" grade of offence!

What really amazes me, it looks as though he was trying to pry out the head unit, which are actually bolted in place.

Trouble is, these days, people don't give a care in the world for other peoples property - when I was spannering, I'd treat my customers cars as though they were my own.
