It depends really, I know that you can always use two/three or how ever many different posts, but to be honest, if a post is too long I fall alseep and don't bother reading any of it anyway.

So my opinion ? If it's interesting then maybe, if it's not then no. But as I say, that's just my opinion.

Actually, these two threads are a classic of where the character limit was reached.  The first here http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=54388.0 was OK because I could create both posts in quick succession.  But this thread http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=54324.0 was a pain, because additions have been bumped to the last page.

Not as long as I keep away from posts that are less than 5,000 10,000 characters ! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

it maybe useful for project threads with pics etc but i cant actually see anyone wanting to read 10,000 characters or pure text! to be honest!
