infact my brother has only 1 no claims bonus and he is 22 in febuary driving a 2 litre turbo group 16 (same as the golf i think), on his own insurance £1800, would i still be able to go on my mams insurance using her no claims bonuses but still have my own car?

Nah -no way... my 05 Gti is worth more than £14,995... an 07 even with a basic spec would be around the £19k mark

im 100% positive it was a gti in candy white witht hem monza wheels, with the tartan interior etc, i didnt see the mileage but 99% it was an 07.

go and have a look at lookers volkswagen garage in middlesbrough ir youre local or phone them up, i didnt find out anything about it was just parked outside and it had £14,995 in the window, so there might be a catch but im just saying i saw it for £14,495 on an 07 plate it might not be a brand you but was definetely 07. i will phone them tomorrow i apologise if i was wrong, but im 99% sure, because even my dad said that looks cheap for an 07.

From a caring mothers point of view, don't do it you WILL kill yourself, get youself a nice little 1 litre polo and potter around for a couple of years first.

Put it this way. They probably wont insure you at 17 on a Mk4 1.8T, let a lone a Mk5 2.0T

i emailed lookers and they said it was a polo gti would this by right, ill still phone and double check as im sure i read golf on the back. if so i apologise. do they polo gtis in white come with the same alloy sinterior etc as golf?

No probs matey    Polo GTi would be about right at that price... and yep they are basically a clone of the Golf GTi...
