what wires were there to power it?

All i have is a thick blue and thick black that are joined side by side.

is that right?

Yeah, one will be the -ve (Clamp it to ground/chassis) and the other will be +ve (Use a 12v +ve wire when ignition/key is switched to on) with the motor switch (to open/close) inbetween.

thought that might be the case but electrics really are my weak point.  :rolleyes:

wwciekd got your pm, but, as the message is ehre, how lnog do you reckon it would take approx? and, i was gonig to put the switch in next to the interior light, or at least possibly hoped to, if i chipped out the hole ready, can you trim it to that?  :wink:

Should be ok, but only if there's enough clearance with the switch and the motor. You'll have to take a look at where the best place for switch is to be placed I guess.

Length of time.........? Dunno really, a week or two? not sure.
