Weighted Shift Rod

Awesome have a Neuspeed weighted shift kit and Short shift kit £90 for both !!!
I maybe able to get it cheaper only looked there to be honest.
Don't fancy bodging it up myself to be honest

Am I the only one that doesn't like the feel of the weighted rods? I can see why people would like them, but I prefer the lighter less muffled feel of the standard jobbie

just get the weighted shift rod from VAG, its £12 new. short shift kits can be picked up for buttons 2nd hand. i dont like the short shifts but like the weighted shift rod feel

 to gjroe78, i take umbridge at your comments sunshine........how can a genuine vw replacement part fitted and a quick shift shortened by a proffesionally qualified welder be bodged?? more fool you for paying £90 for £15 worth of stuff!!

It would'nt be fitted by a proffesional welder, i was gonna fit it myself.
And if your gonna have a go at me in the future you may want to get the spelling right mate.

And why am i a fool to pay £90 for parts if i intend to get my car to show standard
I was only asking for peoples input or first hand experience with them.

I can get you the short shift made if you want. I have one and its fab!

I'd be very interested in this if you could get some made up, have just got my GTi and this is one of the first things i want to do.

If you want to spend £90 on a gear linkage, get a complete uprated linkage setup from missing linkz, it replaces all the bushes & plastic linkages with metal ball & socket joints, very nice piece of kit and makes gear selection much nicer, mine has no play whatsoever at the linkage now

Cheers rubjonny that looks like a quality piece of kit, i'll give em a bell when i get round to doin it, i keep sayin i'm gonna do it but have to keep workin on my new house.
