....Nice one! I was driving to The Ring this weekend and on to South of France but it's got postponed. I'm sorely tempted to go to Brands instead.

popped in to regal this morning, and are very tempted to have the car chipped, even though the car is DSG they say that i would get an increase just by chipping it with no other mods, and will gain me 45 hp, for £500 ,im very tempted.... :undecided:

....I would take that "gain 45 bhp with no other mods" claim with a pinch of salt! Also, rather more important, I would find out how their remap handles increased torque in the context of a DSG box. Isn't Regal's remap offering GIAC and American? "Their" race car will have a different remap. I'm afraid that, by word of mouth, I've heard of people being very dissatisfied with Regal.

I would also check out JKM down the road at Portsmouth - A family biz with service, before and after sales second to none, and a highly rated Revo tuner.

Then make your own choice.

Get a switchable map so when she's driving it she won't know the difference  then you can have some proper fun when you're driving :afro:

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think that the GIAC remap is user switchable to and from stock. At a VW service they will automatically update the ECU and this could present problems if you don't give your VW dealer your car in stock mode. GIAC isn't well established in the UK either.
