rain sensors?

does the e30 have them as standard?
if no, what did you have to order to get them?

Standard on GTi and ED30 and R32 along with light sensors.

can it be turned off too? i hate the idea of them comin on when the window isnt wet enough and scratchin the glass

Yeah can turn it off - it replaces the intermittant function.

It's on the wiper stalk like any wipers. Lift it up/down from Off to Rain Sensor to Fast Wipe. (and then really fast I think).

On mine the rain sensing never seems to get it right in light rain, and I would be happy just with variable intermittent.

Can you turn off the sensor, so that you just get good old-fashioned intermittent instead. Can this be done with vag-com?

No idea about vag-com but it can't be done in the cockpit.

exactly what i want, i dont like the idea of it wiping when the screen aint wet enough and scratch it, my current car has done that and i dont want it on this one
