What model?

MK1 or MK3?

If its a mk3 then they work with hydrolic fluid.

Dont know anything about mk1's sorry :embarassed:

usual checks...

Fuses, Switch, Trace wires back (possibly broken wire), hydrolic fluid level (mk3)
:)

Dont know the fuse number but pull them all out one by one.

If they are fine then test the switch or bridge the wires on the connector block and see if something moves

mk3 switches are pants
:)

Borrowed my boses wife's one a couple of years ago, to operate the roof the engine had to be not running with the ignition on, so could well be a relay!
Good luck
