fix it, its not failed on body work so cant be that bad a car, the rear lights is usually the light boards if water gets in they corrode and short

the rest is just general wear and tear and really bush kits.

the play in the struut when you changed the suspension did you change the top mounts?

I would fix it, if your close to Cambridgeshire st neots can quote you on the work it needs doing

Fix if the rest of the car is good, it should be cheeper than buying another, plus you will have the peace of mind that it wont fail in those areas again.  Most things are very DIY-able.  Worst is rear axle bushes.

Tbh a lot of that sounds worse than it is and it shouldnt really cost that much to sort, its up to you at the end of the day, if you think you will be happier with another car then sell that one and buy another

Rear beam bushes are labour intensive.

I'm going to be contraversial here and say that if you can do most of the work yourself or with a friend (i.e pay no labour) then fix it. Otherwise all those niggles added up are going to be a big labour bill. You could get another 3 door 8v for around the same money I'd expect.

... it's turned into a fashion show for poofters.
