Just out of interest how often should you top water up, my water light comes on once a week but do do on average 400 miles a week, so have to top it up?

I do about 350 a week and top up the water about once a month. Am guessing you have a small leak somewhere!

Its an expansion tank every other day now that the heater is on, lol

So its: expansion tank, flange (somewhere i cant remember) maybe some hoseing and possible a rad too!

gr, i have this problem too, that flange thing coming off the block on mine has a load of green build up on it, so im guessing my problems there. i hate leaks

yes and if its really shagged you should have arusty coloured stain down the block under the flange and onto the gearbox housing

Expansion tank cap dont rattle, so its that too!

Windscreen is so Fogged up cant see out, lol

if ur windows have fogged up i would say its heater matrix, had this on my car

if screen misted up inside it's the matrix for definate,have just found the same problem on the '84 mk2 that i have just bought
