As in expansion tank every other day.

Oil at correct level.

coolant leak. (hopefully not head gasket!)

look under bonnet, and look up at the engine from below if you can.

likely candidates are water pump, and the platic coolant hose flange from the front of the block.

any mayo in oil ?

Just out of interest how often should you top water up, my water light comes on once a week but do do on average 400 miles a week, so have to top it up?

My corrado was leaking from the cylinder head flange thing, i didn't figure it out until i popped the bonnet after a long drive and saw a tiny bit of steam.....
The flange itself should only cost about a tenner and is mega easy to change, i'd try that first and see if it cures the problem. Apparently they are prone to cracking (although mine was fine, it had been sealed with silicone instead of an o ring, which was the issue!!)

If you have no luck finding a leaj yourself, take it to a local garage and get the coolant system pressure tested.

Sounds like the matrix yes.
Cheap enough to replace if you do it yourself, quite a pain to do it though.

take the expansion bottle cap off and shake it,you should be able to hear it rattle inside.if not it is shagged as the valve inside is jammed open and will let the water out when the pressure builds up.if it has done this the water will run down the chassis leg and under the car and rip out.original caps are black in colour, replacement one are blue.cost about £4:00. let us know......joe
