Picking my car up soon, and I have a leaflet from the dealer on Supagard.  They're looking for £300 for it to be done... but he said he may be able to discount it a bit.
I've seen the Supagard kits on ebay for around £40... so it shows what sort of mark up the stealer has!

I'd much rather spend some cash on some good products and apply them myself.
What products should I use?  The car will be brand new, so I want to 'protect' it all whilst its in showroom condition before it gets in a mess!
I've seen tubs of alloy wax which protect the wheels (I assume I take them off and apply all over?).  I'm looking for interior and exterior stuff!!!

Don't do it, it's just not worth £300 or even £150 IMO, as I've mentioned before, I had it done (properly) by my brother in law, who did it for a living, it's good for about 6 months, so no better than 3 or 4 good quality waxes.and that's if it's done properly, preparation is everything, and chances are the lads who apply it, are doing 3 a day,and completely fed up.

Interesting how prices vary for Supaguard / Autoglym Lifeshine treatments. My dealer does Supaguard for £200 - but managed to get half price Supaguard ie £100 as he was not doing any deals on price of ED30.

My dealer threw the Lifeshine in as part of the deal. Yes, it looked ok,  but IMO its looks better when I've waxed it myself and I know that its been done properly. Oh, and they supposedly polished the windows, but it was done so bad that when the sun was shining on it I could hardly see out when driving.  So as soon as I got home I got the chamois out and re-did it myself. Bottom line - don't pay for it, if its offered for free, take it.
