I assume from people i have spoken if your car is still in the warranty period you might get some trouble if for example your Gearbox gave up the ghost. Remember when warrantys are the topic the garage will use any excuse to avoid a payout, and chipping it may just be that excuse, Thats why i went for the tuning box as i can remove it before service time,
I doubt they will be able to reset it as from my limited understanding i thought the upsloute cghips like the revo software used the free clocks of memory on the standard chip, so i don't think they can reset it, but i reckon they would be bale to see its there on the diagnostic machine,
