« on: 19 February 2003, 22:30 »
Hi guys.......Ive just brought a totally mint mk 3  in dragon green which is not fitted with the factory fog lamps   Are they a big job to fit ?   also the rubber strips which run down the roof from front to back have been removed at some time to fit new screen and are very uneven been told that these are impossible to get back flat......Is that right ?

Dont think they are hard to fit. I think the wiring loom is already in the car.  On the drivers side at the bottom of the front bumper behind the small mesh there is a connecter there which I think must be the wireing loom, I have this too but have not had time to work out if it is so if you fancy a go and if you could let me know that would be much appreciated

thanks

ps.  Why has the rubber been removed to fit a new screen?????

Hi, just replaced the false spot light panels with actual factory spots. Yes you need the wiring loom that has the headlights, indicators, horns and now spots on it. Plugs straight in (big socket by top of radiator). I had to swap headlight connectors though. I also changed the dash switch to a later model one that allows spots on with park or headlights.

I got a good price for fogs from Euro car parts - about 34.00 each I think. Maybe plus VAT - I can't remember. Not sure how that compares to what you have found.
