well mine is going down to bare metal. you could possibly get it done for that much as u could just scotch down the lacquer and top layer of paint and go from there, saves alot of time and effort meaning less money. i'd say ur looking 1500+
ur best taking ur golf round to a few garages for quotes and while your there ask for examples of their work so u know what the quality will be like.

With a complete respray its not the actual spraying but most of the work is stripping the car and putting it back together.

If you delivered a totally stripped shell to a sprayer and said paint that for me and he didnt have much bodywork/rust/damage to sort then yes it could be done for less than a grand.
But then of course you would have to take it away again and put it back together!

depending on what needs sorting on the car, ie rust dents etc it will vary loads. if the inside of the car is fine and there is little or no rust then you'll be ok with £1500.

like len said its the time taking a car to pieces and re-building it that takes time which hikes the price up a fair bit. look in the yellow pages call up everyone, some places won't touch full re-sprays as they are too time consuming and not cost effective.
team grumpy....... its a way of life, not a forum post
