shell v power (got it right then! bet ur checking after the optimax thing! lol) is 99. something. i dont understand why theres such a big difference in it?

think the test was done at the back end of 2005 / beginning of 2006 so before Optimax was made obsolete

What - reference the difference in price between the three!?

I personally think that BP is just a blatant rip-off.  When comparing all the 97 RON super unleadeds, like Total Excillium (sp?), Esso, Sainsburys, and BP - the BP stuff is noticeably more expensive.

Whilst I generally avoid all the 97 RON ones, if I cant find Tesco 99 or V-Power, then the 97 brew has to do.  I find that the BP Ultimate is on a par with Sainsburys super unleaded (but about 12p per litre more expensive)!  Of all the 97 brews, I actually find the Total one to be the best.

I remeber in Evo when they tested the fuels they reckon that one of the most important things is that the fuel is fresh as it quickly deteriorates. Your best bet is therefore is use the busiest filling station you can find!

either way I'd beat you all in a race cos you'll be stopping every 5 minutes to fill go! GO DIESEL   

Nah, the only reason you'll stand a chance, is because we'll have to keep stopping to clear your soot from our windscreens!       

mine doesn't soot thank you very much well.......... not as much as others

As much as I love my PD150 I'm still looking forward to going back to the responsivness of petrol.  :embarassed: But you're right, I'll have to be stopping a whole lot more to fill up. Still at least I  won't be sooting up TTs windscreen when I pass him.
