Ahhh - that's better!

There are loads of threads here on re-mapping, use the search function.

Without repeating everything again, the general concensus seems to be to only use one of the VAG specific chip-tuners, such as REVO, Oettinger or MTM.  The Bosch MED9 is very hard to sucessfully re-map!  :nerd:

Pardon - ok, sorry, I've already done that one!! Your welcome, matey!

had you ever heard of ultramap??????

No, and by the look of their web site, I like the quote regarding the "latest EDC16" ECUs - erm, they are about 10-12 years old, arggh.  I would avoid them like an African hooker with scabby lips!

a word of warning, I had my 2002 320d re-mapped by a guy that came to the house and phoned some techhy in germany for a remap, loaded it onto the car and away they went, car had done 37k and at 38.5k the turbo blew up, filling CAT with oil ect, luckily the remap wasnt detected by BMW and they replaced all for £100 ( 2 weeks out of warranty!), car ran ok for another 3 k then an injector went £300, replaced, another went after another 3k, took the car in for a service before christmas an mentioned clanking from underneath, told to my suprise turbo on its way out again, only done 20K !!!!, told forget it and bought GTI!

You get what you pay for, the remap worked 150 bhp - 185 and torque up from 255- 310, but car left me stranded 4 times in 18 months.... no thanks!
steel grey, 5 door , leather, parking sensors, IPod, 18" monza,MF wheel,  K&N filter , smoked rear lights and mirror indicators,,, no remap..... yet!!
