Mr Lees, exactly my sentiments.  Use only the dedicated VAG specialists, such as Revo, Oettinger and MTM, who have a very good track record with VAG products.

The last thing you should do is allow somebody to come to your house, and load a map from a lappy.  Often, all these cowboys do is to increase the turbo boost, which can put massive stresses on an engine if over-done.

A re-map should only ever be considered, if it can be done at an approved and reputable traders' premises - and only if you have a before and after rolling road dyno print out.

I really don't understand the mentality of car drivers who think it is OK to have tuning re-maps done without rolling roads.   In the motorcycling fraternity, an owner would NEVER consider any tuning options without the use of a dyno!

Oh, Mr Lees, I'm not having a dig at you personally!
