what size speakers can i fit in a mk1 and still wind the windows down??

hi just wondering if anyone has fitted larger speakers in the front doors of a mk1, i will take the old ones out and i have a mate who will make some speakers adapters to mount the new speakers on, what sort of size can i do without having problems with the window winders? rob  :smiley:

http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product.asp?product=21041 well went for these in the end, there not that big and quite cheap, its just the sound from the 6 by 4's is just rubbish! are these any good?  :undecided:  :smiley:

not too sure, it will depend on the pod size you make, have you thought of fitting them up more? by the door handles like? may get in the way of your elbows a bit though.
