You tried ringing the local scrap yards?

Ask them if they have a white bonnet or something. If they do then go and have a look. you might find the whole car

have you wondered if it was the person you bought it off? any way they could have sold you the car, knew it would break down and then nicked it back?

Thanks for the replies guys, really hope with the help of the dub community that i can find this car as i didnt have insurance for the car as i'd just bought it.

I am ringin around scrappys but no luck just yet. Thanks Monzablue will post on south yorkshire dubs and hopefully somebody may have seen the car being towed or something.

I dont think it could have been the previous owner as he is a copper (wouldn't put it past them though ), but I actually bought it off his dad who woz about 60/70 years old and drove a metro.

Without tax it may have been crushed?

I assume the only people that would take it away and crush it would be the DVLA, but i have spoken to them and they have no records of picking up my car. Have been trying to see if there would be any cctv footage but no one will tell me wether they have cameras there. i am going to go there today and check the "scene" for clues and go to a few local scrappys and specifically ask for a white panel . If it turns out they've got my car, that panel will be more tornado red than alpine white  !

Nah mate aint heard nuthin off the old bill. I have given up now to be honest just have to get another one. it only cost me £300 so its not a huge loss. thanks for askin neway mate.

just remember in future, sort out insurance and tax first! publicv foums are not the place to admit such a crime!! haha!

i arranged my insurance for cab and when i decided i was buying it i got them to swap/add to piolicy for a fee which i paid over the phone then i was covered to drive the car home.
