My car has been stolen!!!! Has anybody seen it????!!!! * H526 YNX*

Last seen in a layby off junction 33, M1 near a big Morrisons and Big W's.(sheffield/Rotherham) my white golf gti has been jacked by sum pikey scum!!!  it's a big bumper 3 Door mk2 Golf with sum crappy TSW 5 spokes on it. registration number is H526 YNX.

The car broke dwn after i bought it, while on the way back to derby. So i had to leave it in the layby 4 a few days ( On the advice of the Highway Patrol Agency!  ) while i sorted out a trailer/transort to get it home, but when i went to fetch my GTI it was gone!! 

I have spent the last 2 days trying to track the car but the police, council, DVLA and Highways department/agency  all say they have no records of removing it!!

The car has had a stolen marker put on it by the police but if anybody has seen this car or knows of its whereabouts please get in touch as soon as possible.

That's a bit of a sh!tter! 

Is there any smashed glass where you left it? Just thinking if they smashed the window it's probably been dumped after they had a play, whereas if the lock was busted maybe it will still be around?

Have you done a check of the area? Country lanes, fields, layby's, industrial estates etc?

my brother actually lives around the area and he told me it had gone so havn't actually bin there maself. the car wudnt drive for sumreason so doubt anybody would have driven it away. thats why ppl are sayin pikey prob taken it with a tow truck and scrapped it!!    if i ever find out who it is im gna leave em FUBAR!!

The same thing happened to my old Ford Orion! Lucikly I wasn't too bothered as it'd been given to me free as a non-starter, I'd fixed it for a tenner and was planning to scrap it about 2 weeks later before moving to Canada for 6 months - so they theifing bastards actually saved me £25!!

I still couldn't work out why (or how!) anyone would steal it though, It had broken down, and then I'd flattened the battery trying to start it, so there's no way it was to joy ride, and it was worth about -£25!! I can only assume they needed the gearbox or something?
