ABS light
« on: 01 April 2007, 18:48 »
hey guys.
I have my MOT next week. I have removed the ABS warning light as it was staying on all the time. Will my car pass its MOT now as the testers will be unable to check if the ABS is working? Cheers

as far as I know they test the brakes for defects. If they see a big orange light saying "I'M BROKE LOOK HERE FIX ME FIX ME FIX ME!!!" they're more likeley to notice it's broke.  Hmm, what to do, eh?    :lipsrsealed:

Guys dont remove the bulbs , get the system fixed . If your abs isnt working then the brakes wont be balanced either .

you may be lucky and he may not notice it's got an ABS pump.
It could be any of the sensors tbh, and like adyh says, get it fixed or the first time you slam the anchors on you might end up facing the wrong way.

If the car is fitted with ABS then it should be working for the MOT.
Your car should fail.
Unless you get lucky and they dont notice, but with the new system its almost impossible for them not too!
