simpson came again today to sort the other arch. bit more welding needed on this one


bracket made up,


more, welding getting loads better   :smiley:


cut as much of the rust out as we could, then primed it up to stop it rusting from the back, and waxoyled it afterwards


welded in, much improved, nice solid welds too, no gaps


then covered it in seam sealer, and did it from the back too

going to be left to set, then painted and waxoyled,
 

anyone else wants some cheap repairs and trust me with ur car just gimmy a pm   :wink:

Oreete peeps, been a while but im back home for 3 weeks so i though i better get on with it.

Just a little update, my car is currently under a load of crap atm due to the house being renovated. but ill soon sort that out!

just put the rear brushes in tonight










 
good old sash clamps,

first one too a while to cut out and put the new one in, but the second one was done in 10 mins  :P

Oh and im looking at finding a 1.3 engine out of a golf or a polo to put in it for a while to get my no claims (and tune my 16v up) so if you have one for sale or know someone please get in touch, cheers Phil

actually forget that cause it will probs cost me loads and its more work.

might just buy a 1.0 lupo to run around in.

cant believe how cold it has become, might end up doing bits on my car that can be done in the warmth   :rolleyes:

got the rear beam on today





front subframe is also on but forgot the pics  :undecided:


tomorrow ill hopefully get the back wheels on

rite, thought id better spend a day o the car, so i got all the wheels back on and made a start in the bay, at the moment im thinking of just tidying up the bay, with a decent paint job and a bit of welding up of not needed holes, this is how far i got today...

 ive welded all the holes up today and put filler on, just waiting for my second load to dry, then going to sand it ready for painting tomorrow.

this is were it is up to atm

heyhey, long time since ive posted but ive got a few updates:

twin carbs..... yummy











started polishing them...





got some filters for them



so the engine needed sorting.... broken down and split from gearbox




head off, lots of gunk to clean off.


clean.


started polishing


de-gunked the engine...


think that will be until summer unfortunatly, but im sure ill have some sort of updates inbetween
