Imported GT TDI

Hello all.
I'm in the market for a new motor  a Golf TDI, however i've seen a GT TDI in auto/tiptronic.
After speaking to the seller he said, he believe's it was imported from Germany. 
Is there any major difference in buying an import, anything i should know about?
The first thing i did notice about it was it doen't have a center arm rest at the front  what about the a/c? it has climate control, is that the same as a/c? i'm sure i've seen uk spec cars with both? or am i dreaming this?
Any help would be great in deciding to buy or not.

Hi mate again i paid £7500 for mine on a 2003 03 plate last month done 90000 full leather int f/vw/s/h
priced about right i think me id go for it joy to drive cant stop

Give just under 7k nearly a year ago for my 03 130 and it had done 65k, its an import and came with-winter pack, climate/ac 3 rear headrests etc. Looked at the time for a golf with these toys on em and couldn`t find any close to the price I gave for mine.
Only thing with an import is it don`t come up on vw (or somert like that) took the logbook into the stealers and they sorted it out for me

So is the a/c on the climate control, or is it a sperate switch? 
oh and have yours got cd multi changer? this one just got an alpine radio/cd headunit.
are yours manual?
i like it alot, but, not too sure wether to buy  as when i put the reg number in confused it cam up as tdi 100bhp se manual  unless thats cos its imported.
its on auto trader if that may help.

Mine came with 6cd multi changer the a/c on mine is on the climate control panel there is a a/c switch on the right hand side if that helps  p/s mine is not an emport mind

Theres a sticker under the bot mat that tells you its bhp(it doesn`t say bhp it says k something or other)
Have you got a link for it from the autotrader

if i remember rightly it says 96kw which i saw on this board that it is 130bhp = 96 kw
