Just had the Valver on the Rolling Road
This morning I took my car to my local Rolling Road tuner for a tune and power run.

Timing and fuelling set and now running much better than it was before I took it in, need to source an ISV or clean mine up as it's broken!!
Modifications
Ported and polished head
S/S exhaust and manifold
K+N panel filter and modified airbox
running Sainsburys super 97 ron

Before it was around 115BHP at the flywheel and would only go to 5k.

After 160BHP at the flywheel at 5k and 170BHP at Flywheel on full range.

Don't half shift now!!! another good BHP-£ ratio!! £2.10 per Horse!!

Probably got lost in the "Great Crash of 08

koni top adjustable settings
Hello,  just wondering how others have there damping adjustable suspension set for everyday driving...  I have a set of Konis on my 16v.  they are 2 full turns from firm to soft, when I bought the car they were all set on half way, one full turn.  but this seemed a little hard for everyday driving.

What do you lot think is a good setting for more comfort, without ruining handling too much.  if they are all on fully soft is the handling going to be crap?

Outside temp sensor on GTI MK3
Hello to you all.

Can any of you help me with a small problem i have on my GOLF GTI MKIII.

On the mini computer on the dash which displays mpg / miles etc . the last function does not work which is the outside temp sensor.

i have traced the sensor its self which is in the front off side grill, my problem is for some reason there are no wires going to it.

Can anybody tell me where these wire's come from & what colours they are ?

Thanks you

SuperSprint Manifold
I've currently got a 4-1 Manifold but it's rusted and corroded very badly with two huge holes that are past repair.. (as the holes have gotten bigger the acceleration has got worse in that it feels like its holding back).. i've just brought a 4-2-1 SuperSprint manifold, when i put this on will i see a noticeable improvement at all?

Just did a oil and filter change on my 88' 8v. before I did it it it was idling fine.
now it will cut out after about 15 seconds unless I rev it. The oil level is fine and I used Castrol magnatec 10w40
